OUR PROCESS

A Structured Residential Construction Process

Clear stages help homeowners understand what decisions are needed, what information is being developed and what comes next.

The exact process varies by project type, existing conditions, jurisdiction, design requirements and approved scope.

  1. Stage 1

    Initial Consultation

Purpose: Understand the property, goals, project type, planning stage, budget and desired timeline.

Activities: Initial request, service fit, available documents, priorities and immediate information needs.

Output: Initial direction regarding the most appropriate next step.

  2. Stage 2

    Feasibility and Project Definition

Purpose: Understand whether the proposed project can move forward and what information is needed.

Activities: Existing conditions, access, space requirements, constraints, consultant needs, permit pathway and budget alignment.

Output: A clearer project direction, scope assumptions and next-step plan.

  3. Stage 3

    Design and Consultant Coordination

Purpose: Develop and coordinate information needed to describe and support the project.

Activities: Designer, architect, engineer, energy consultant, surveyor, homeowner and project-team input as applicable.

Output: Coordinated drawings, selections and technical information appropriate to the project stage.

  4. Stage 4

    Permitting

Purpose: Prepare, submit and coordinate required documents with the applicable jurisdiction.

Activities: Submission preparation, correction tracking, consultant responses, resubmission and status communication.

Output: Agency requirements, fees, comments and timelines remain outside Rezgit’s control.

  5. Stage 5

    Preconstruction

Purpose: Prepare the project for field execution.

Activities: Scope review, schedule, selections, procurement, trade coordination, logistics, communication and risk review.

Output: A more organized transition into construction.

  6. Stage 6

    Construction

Purpose: Execute approved scope while coordinating people, information, inspections and decisions.

Activities: Site preparation, sequencing, materials, quality observations, safety coordination, updates, changes and inspections.

Output: Documented progress toward the approved project scope.

  7. Stage 7

    Inspection and Closeout

Purpose: Complete outstanding responsibilities and transition the project toward final use.

Activities: Final inspections, outstanding-item tracking, documentation, walkthrough and approvals where applicable.

Output: Coordinated closeout records and responsibilities.

Permit approval requirements, agency decisions and review timing are controlled by the applicable jurisdiction and cannot be guaranteed.
